Bath Time

The boys love bath time.  They love to splish and splash.  To play with bubbles and dump water over each other.  And wearing this silly pair of sunglasses as their "swimming glasses" never ceases to be funny.  They tickle me with how incredibly funny their little personalities are, so full of joy and life.  I was so glad to capture a few pics the other night as they played in the bath:

Zoo Days

we are Archer and Stockton....hear us ROAR!!!!!
Earlier this year we bought our zoo family pass.  The boys love the zoo, and quite frankly, so do I.  It's so peaceful and there is plenty to do and see.  We went Thursday morning for a bit and had a great time checking out the animals and of course riding the train.  Archer was on a mission to find a Toucan (not sure why, but we HAD to check every building for one).  I don't remember stumbling up one but we forgot to check the rain forest building.  That and it started to rain on us so we decided to leave.

All in all, a great day to get out and zoo it up.  I am thankful to have fun boys who love to have "Archer and Stockton's Great Adventure" days with me.  That's what we call the days that we are one the go and don't get a nap.  And naps are still precious around here...we try not to miss them unless an adventure is involved!

3rd Birthday Party

We had a BLAST at the boys 3rd birthday party.  I can easily say that this party was just as interactive for the adults as it was for the kiddos.  We started off the morning with the boys sleeping in until 8:45am.  That was actually perfect because the inflatable slides and bounce/obstacle course was to be delivered at 8:30am.  So, by the time they woke up and got dressed all they needed to hear me tell them was "Your slides are here!!" and they were out the door in a flash.  I had to practically force them to eat a pop tart and milk in the midst of some bouncing/sliding mayhem.    They had to explore every inch of those slides and I *might* have  had to try them out too before getting everything else in it's place.

We were lucky and got the boys to stand still long enough to snap a quick family pic before all of our friends came.  The expression on Stockton's face is priceless.  He pulls a million different faces in a day and this is one of his favorites lately.  That kid is just precious...actually they both are, I can't help but adore everything about them.

Their Nana brought them some doctor kits for their birthday before the party.  They were both so excited to get dressed up and give "check ups".  Maybe one day they will be a doctor like their daddy!

The doctors are IN!

Once again, the party didn't have a theme.  I'm just not a theme kinda girl...sometimes I wish that I were interested in crafting or planning.  (If I ever get the itch to attempt that all I have to do is think about last years cupcake icing disaster.  Thank goodness for the Courtyard Bistro in Fort Gibson, their cupcakes were amazing!) What I want my kids to take away from these milestones is not the decorations or goody bags, but the memories of great times with friends and family.  I am pretty sure the memories we made will last quite a while!

camo cupcakes...delish and super cute!

Once our friends started to arrive it was time to slide, bounce, play on the playground ect.  Pretty much a big free for all.  Not to mention the weather was absolutely perfect.  No wind, warm but not to hot...just perfect.

This pic is probably my favorite of the bunch

happy Archer!
We needed to take a break from bouncing so naturally it was time to take the cars for a drive.  Stocky jumped in the car with his girlfriend Kate.  Her beautiful momma Cristin and I joke that they will get married one day.  Secretly I hope that's true.  Stockton loves him some Kitty Kate!

Now it was time for some cupcakes and presents!

After opening presents the crowd started to thin and the adults needed some slide and bounce time! And of course the boys were dying to get back into their jumps.

fun with daddy!!
We ended our day playing on the playground with our buddies Tyler and Blake.   A little sandbox action to unwind from a crazy day.  There were no naps on birthday party day.  The boys went strong from the moment they woke up until we put them to bed.  Truth be told, they probably could have stayed up a little longer but we knew we needed to get them in bed a little early that night.

Boys, we loved every minute of your 3rd birthday.  Seeing your joyful faces and hearing your belly laughs make life worth living. Thanks for a fun 3 years.  We can't wait to have more adventures with you!

We love you to the moon and back!

Birthday Number 3

We started off our birthday celebrations this year with some cinnamon roll waffles and bacon.  Only your favorite breakfast foods will do on the day you turn 3.  Seriously, 3.  You slept in until 8:30am on your birthday morning.  I am not going to lie, I enjoyed a few extra quiet morning minutes before it was time to get you up and start celebrating.

We spent the morning playing and working in the yard to get it ready for the big birthday bash the next day.  Really, we were just killing time anxiously waiting for daddy to bring home your super fun birthday presents before lunch.  You knew he was bringing them home on his big trailer and boy, were you guys excited.

The excitement and smiles of joy on your faces were enough for me. You guys didn't waste any time jumping in your jeeps and backing them off the trailer yourselves.

You rode and rode until the batteries just didn't have any more "gas".  It's a good thing daddy thought ahead and got you two extra batteries to keep on the charger so there is always some more "gas" when we need it.

Stocky can't contain his joy!

Archer was beyond thrilled with his new ride

Archer: trying to off-road already
Of course, daddy knew you would want to be just like him so he made up so tow straps to keep in your trunk. Just in case you need to haul off some tree limbs or get yourself out of a jam.

fixin' to hook on to something...anything!

We had a birthday visit from our buddy Davis later in the afternoon.  Stockton, you were so excited to take your little buddy for a ride in your new car.  The two of you carried on quite the conversation punctuated with tons of laugh and giggles.

Happy 3rd birthday sweetie-pie baby boys.  I hope you enjoyed your big day like we did.  Nothing makes this momma happier than seeing your faces light up with joy and those big blue eyes sparkle with happiness.

Sesame Street Live

This last Sunday afternoon we took the boys to Sesame Street Live.  I am not sure who was more excited, Justin and I or the boys.  We watch Sesame Street every morning during breakfast so they know all the characters and LOVE some Elmo.   We got the tickets way back in October and were able to get Sunny Side seats up front so the boys could get up close and personal with the characters.  Also with the tickets we were able to go up extra early and get some pics with Elmo and Bert and play in their playland without a big crowd.

patiently waiting our turn.... and a little amazed that Elmo and Bert are just a few feet away!!!

Archer had to bring his Elmo with this child!

saying "hi" to their new friends

You'll probably notice that Archer has his "cheese face" on in pretty much every picture.  He's done that face forever and it perfectly fits his big personality!

And of course I just love it when Stocky smiles big and bright!  He kinda looks like a baby Count Stockula....

Elmo the Musical!!!!
Nana and aunt Abby were supposed to come but were out of town this weekend at a motorcycle rally so we got our little buddy Davis to come along with us.  The boys were so excited to share this with their little friend.

Davis is EXCITED!!

Sorry for the picture overload, but we had a fantastic time. Thank you Nana for such a treat....we all had so much fun!!  It's so nice that the boys are old enough to start really enjoying these kinds of activities.  I can't wait for our next big adventure!
